1. Overview & Core Commitment

At ImageToolbox, your privacy is not an afterthought or marketing slogan—it is the foundation of our software architecture. Unlike conventional web converters that upload your files to remote cloud clusters for processing, ImageToolbox performs all image manipulation, compression, format transformation, and metadata stripping locally in your web browser.

We believe that your personal photos, professional design drafts, and sensitive documents should never leave your hardware unless you explicitly choose to publish them.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Because all image processing takes place client-side via JavaScript, HTML5 Canvas, and Web Workers, we do not have access to, receive, or store:

  • Your image files, graphic artwork, or photographs.
  • Your file names, dimensions, color profiles, or file sizes.
  • Embedded image metadata, including EXIF camera tags, device serial numbers, lens settings, or GPS coordinates.
  • The contents of any generated, compressed, or converted image files.

3. Aggregated Product Analytics

To understand which tools are useful and discover technical bugs, we may collect anonymous, high-level telemetry events (such as "Compress JPG page visited" or "Conversion operation completed").

Our analytics implementation enforces strict privacy filtering:

  • No filenames, image bytes, or preview URLs are ever passed to analytics.
  • No EXIF tags, GPS locations, or camera metadata are emitted.
  • IP addresses are anonymized and never linked to specific user identities.
  • No cross-site tracking or profiling cookies are utilized.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

ImageToolbox does not use tracking cookies or persistent identifiers to follow you around the internet. We may use standard browser localStorage or session storage strictly for functional preferences—such as remembering your chosen UI theme or selected tool presets. You can clear your browser storage at any time without affecting the website's functionality.

5. Advertising & Policy Safeguards

To support free operation without charging subscription fees, our platform may display banner advertisements from reputable ad networks (such as Google AdSense).

  • Ad placements are strictly segregated from primary tool buttons, upload areas, and download controls to prevent accidental or deceptive clicks.
  • Third-party advertisers never have access to your local files or image contents.
  • The website remains completely usable if advertisements fail to load or are blocked.

6. GDPR, CCPA & Global Compliance

Under regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), individuals have the right to request access to or deletion of their personal data.

Because ImageToolbox does not require account creation and processes files solely in ephemeral browser memory, we do not maintain databases of personal records, email addresses, or stored files. As a result, there is no database of personal data to leak, breach, or delete.
