About PNG to JPG

PNG graphics often have large file sizes because they store uncompressed alpha channels and use lossless Deflate compression. When you need to upload graphics to portals that reject PNGs, embed visuals into legacy software, or significantly reduce the file size of digital artwork, converting PNG to JPG is an ideal solution.

Because the JPEG file specification does not support an alpha transparency channel, any transparent or semi-transparent pixels must be composited onto a solid background color. Rather than forcing an arbitrary black background like naive converters do, our tool allows you to pick your desired fill color (defaulting to clean white #FFFFFF).
