About Resize Image

Digital camera sensors and smartphone lenses produce massive photos with resolutions often exceeding 4000x3000 pixels. While great for print, these oversized dimensions consume unnecessary memory, slow down web applications, and exceed social media recommendation sizes.

Our in-browser Image Resizer gives you fine-grained control to scale images using either exact pixel dimensions or proportional percentage adjustments. With our aspect-ratio locking feature enabled by default, you can change width and the height will automatically calculate to prevent unnatural stretching.

All resampling runs client-side using high-quality bi-cubic smoothing interpolation algorithms. We also include a "Do not enlarge" safety guard to protect against accidental upscaling that could degrade image clarity.

  • Upscaling low-resolution images beyond their original dimensions will not restore lost details.
  • When resizing multi-file batches in exact pixel mode, images with differing aspect ratios may be constrained by the lock ratio setting.
  • Maximum recommended batch size in one session is 20 images.
